Archival Services

We keep archival copies of all versions of the patient education materials seen by patients. Years after a patient education session has occurred, the need may arise to audit the patient education record and retrieve the patient education materials that the patient has seen. Such services are needed for Joint Commission accreditation, medical malpractice cases, or internal quality assurance audits. The Patient Education Institute keeps archives of all versions of X-Plain products. Based on the specific X-Plain Module ID kept in the client’s documentation record, we can retrieve the exact tutorial as it was seen by the patient, even years after it was seen.

This service is provided to our subscribing clients who use X-Plain documentation products free of charge if the retrieved X-Plain tutorial is provided online. A nominal reproduction fee may apply if the client requests the archival material on special media.
